Live Blood Cell Analysis/Dark Field Microscopy

A growing number of health practitioners in North America are rediscovering darkfield microscopy, a popular procedure and mainstay of prevention-minded doctors in Germany and other European countries.

Microscopy was first used in the earlier days of medicine for diagnosing infections. Partially because of pioneering Canadian scientist Gaston Naessens, darkfield microscopy is gaining more popularity with holistically minded doctors and health practitioners. With a sophisticated high-definition oil immersion dark field condenser microscope, Tobias provides in-house live blood microscopy in the Winnipeg area, allowing you the opportunity for a live view into the real-time status of your health and nutrition, as well as the function of your body on several levels.

Darkfield microscopy uses whole blood from a fingertip placed under the microscope unstained, and uses higher magnification with a darkfield lens and specialized lighting that allows one to see much more than could possibly be seen by conventional and phase contrast microscopes.

Many deficiencies, biochemical imbalances or toxicities can be detected by darkfield microscopy long before routine lab tests show any problems. Early nutritional intervention through dietary changes, supplementation and natural herbal medicines can then be implemented. Changes that work.

Depending on the irregularities found in the blood, the Live Blood Cell analysis can reveal the following:

  • Immune System Function

  • Free Radical Cellular Damage

  • Cell Size & Shape Abnormalities

  • Early Recognition of Cardiovascular Risk Factors

  • Essential Fatty Acid Deficiencies

  • Vitamin & Mineral Deficiencies

  • Digestive Disorders

  • Low Iron/Anemia

  • Atherosclerotic Plaque

  • Allergies Tendencies

  • Hormonal Imbalances

  • Uric Acid Crystal & Risk for Gout

  • Kidney/Liver/Spleen Stress

  • Chemical/Heavy Metal Toxicity

  • Degenerative Disorders

  • Parasites

  • Dehydration

  • Poor Blood Circulation

  • Clotting Abnormalities

  • Bacterial Imbalances

  • Yeast/Fungal Tendencies

Blood transports oxygen, nutrients and other life-giving agents throughout the body to maintain health. It is also the medium for detoxification, delivering cellular waste to the liver and kidneys for elimination from the body. Blood can therefore serve as a predictor of health and provide an indication of illness well before symptoms appear.

Live blood screening is both educational and motivational. Clients are able to see a live picture of their own blood and their treatment progress can be visually monitored over a period of time. With changes to diet and lifestyle, improvements in the condition of the blood can sometimes be seen within a short space of time and usually within weeks. This creates a powerful incentive for patients to be more proactive in improving their health, taking responsibility for their own progress by continuing with the recommended lifestyle changes.

Did you know that your body rots and rusts?

One of the most important findings that we gain from live blood analysis is the evidence of infection, often low-grade with no obvious symptoms, which have been affecting an individual for months or years. For example, prolonged low-grade infections are frequently found occurring under teeth with root canals. When the nerve has been removed you no longer feel pain from an infected tooth, which allows the infection to spread into the jaw bone causing serious damage to immune system (and sometimes the jawbone itself). Over time the constant low-grade infection can contribute to a long list of serious health problems.

If you have root canals and currently have heart disease, cancer, or another unexplained illness it is definitely a good idea to have your blood checked for low-grade infections. These dental infections are often referred to in Europe as "The Silent Killer".

Signs of infection and higher pathological life cycles show up in the blood long before the symptoms are felt or serious disease occurs, so the importance of being proactive by having your blood examined cannot be overstated.

Integrated or Integrative Medicine comprise the practice of medicine in a way that selectively incorporates elements of Complementary and Alternative medicine into comprehensive and actionable (easy to carry out) nutritional and herbal treatment plans alongside orthodox methods of diagnosis and treatment.

Integrative medicine is not simply a synonym for Complementary medicine. It has a larger meaning and mission with it’s focus being on health and healing, rather than on disease and treatment alone.  It views patients as whole people with minds and spirits as well as bodies, and includes these dimensions to form a full understanding of illness and methods of restoring us back to full health on all levels - body, mind, and spirit. It also involves paying attention to lifestyle factors such as diet, exercise, quality of rest, stresses and the nature of relationships.

Conventional medicine has become evermore dependent on high-tech solutions, and turned its back on holism and simple, effective methods of prevention and intervention.  A combination of everything available coupled with commonsense and a focus toward new innovations is the best choice.

Dark field microscopy is a procedure of analyzing blood in greater detail to gather information about the terrain, the immune system and the nutritional status of the patient. It is a way of studying live whole blood cells under a specially adapted microscope that projects the image of the live blood on to the live video screen. The test is carried out by first withdrawing a very small drop of blood from the patient’s fingertip. This fresh drop of blood is then placed on a clean microscope slide and viewed under the high powered microscope which projects the image onto the video screen. This allows both practitioner and patient to see the state of health of the blood cells as well as the presence or absence of harmful bacteria and other microorganisms. Leucocytes (white blood cells) are seen working around the more numerous red blood cells to counteract foreign substances and disease. There are several types of leucocytes, all amoeboid cells with a nucleus including lymphocytes, granulocytes, and monocytes.  Photo: Tobias Beharrell
